Department of Communications
Communication Arts
Communication Arts explores the world of communications with a focus on oral presentation, drawing on the university’s co-curricular program in theatre.
Students take courses in acting, script writing, and voice and articulation, among others. They also may participate in RSU Theatre, which presents several full-scale productions each year.
The National Association of Colleges and Employees rated “communication skills” highest among attributes necessary in achieving professional success.
In addition to being an excellent pre-law degree or pre-seminary degree, the communication arts option prepares students for careers such as:
- business operations manager
- media planner
- customer service representative
- sales associate
- management trainer/developer
- communication consultant
- human resources manager
- political campaigner
- theater director and actor
